New Adventure Park Approved for Millbrook Park

Exciting news has reached the local community! A major project at Millbrook Park has finally been given planning approval (official permission from the government to build). This means that work can soon begin on the Island’s very first purpose-built pump track.

The land for this project was a generous gift from an anonymous benefactor (someone who gives money or land to help others). It is apparent that the new design will offer something for everyone. The plans include a new pathway around the edge of the field, a sensory garden (a garden designed to stimulate sight, smell, and touch), and a “nature play” area featuring sand dunes.

The most frequently discussed part of the plan is the pump track. A pump track is a special circuit for cycles and scooters where riders use their body weight to create momentum. The designers, Velosolutions, said they are thrilled to be part of the project. They believe the track will become a popular facility for both locals and visitors. Because Jersey is already a famous cycling destination, this new track will develop the Island’s reputation even further.

To make sure the project is perfect, the builders worked with ecological specialists (experts who study the environment). They wanted to ensure that the new park fits in with the natural landscape. Access to the fields will also be improved so that everyone can enjoy the space. If everything goes according to plan, the project should be available for children to use by this summer!
